I am thinking about having a roux en y procedure done in the near future but am hypoglycemic. Lately, I have been hearingAge-related hearing loss Audiology Hearing loss Hearing or speech impairment - resources of a few people that are having worse low blood sugar symptoms post op. Can anyone comment on why this might happen and what you can do to alleviate the problem?

I had this procedure and have had excellent results. I feel great and went back to work in two weeks. You simplySimply sleep need to stay away from simple sugars. They are bad for you any way. I still eat plenty of fresh fruit and use splenda or nutrasweet. I had a smoothieSmoothie readi-cat 2 from smoothieSmoothie readi-cat 2 king and just had them add a small amt of honey to my high protein drink. I recommend this surgical procedure for anyone over 50 to 100 pounds overweight. The sugar issue is an easily resovable problem. Make sure your surgeon measures your intestines in the "Ozment method" and has done many of these procedures before you!
