have you ever had  a sleep study? My husband is on the e pap machine to help him breathe at night. I would diffently see a specialist. I am surprised they have not sent you to one.

Yes, there is a machine that you can put on yourself that keeps your airway open.  It's a mask deal.  Your doc is an idiot, to say your tongue fell and then offered nothing else.  There is such a thing as sleep docs who know about those machines.  It's called sleep apnea if you can't breathe at night.  I have Restless Legs Syndrome, so I got the sleep test, and they talked to me about that machine.  ALSO I had similar throat-closing problem when I was on too many meds AND I gained a lot of weight.  My airway closed and I woke up feeling terrified and could not breathe.  So, I got off some of the meds and it went away.  Weight is the other thing I'm working on.

Does anyone know, my husband is a smoker, and he got bronchitis recently, and he was afraid one time when he could not breathe at all, and I want to know, what would I DO if he fell out and could not breathe??  I would first call 911, but is there anything I would do to help him until help gets there?  Thank you.
