SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TIRED

I was diognosed with Hep C in August of 2002.  No treatment has begun yet just a lot of testing.  Recently I've become extremely tired all the time.  I sit down and I fall asleep, I mean a deep sleep,there was one incident when my husband and daughter couldn't wake me up, they were yelling and shaking me. Just yesterday Sat. Jan. 11th I slept for approximately 20 hours.  I have a terrible time staying awake at work.  Any input would be of help.  Thank You, Michele

have you asked your doctor about a sleeping disorder... cause there is something called narcolpsy (sp?) but you fall alseep all the time. Standing up. There is medication that can help, id also ask if its related to the hep C diagnose. Good luck.

I am sorry to hear of your troubles.  My father-in-law has Hep C.  When he was first diagnosed with it, he was tired too. He contracted this through a Triple Bypass. The blood was not tested back then.

It's most likely due to your illness that you are tired and sleeping like a rock, and not narcolepsy.

I was diagnosed w/Hep C in March 2002.  Just finishing up my treatment in 2 weeks. virus is gone.  Being sooooo tired was one of the first symptoms I had before diagnosis.  So, this, to me, is normal with Hep.
