STOMACH PAIN AFTER DRINKING ?????????

It seems like everytime that I drink acouple beers the next day I wake up with a pain in my stomach and a low grade fever. I went to my GI doctor and had a endoscopy and he said, beside the Barett's Esophagus and hiatal hernia that he knew about everything looked normal. He said, maybe the pain was Celiac disease or even Pancreatitis. He said, I would need to get blood work to check this out. My question is : Can the doctor tell if you have Pancreatitis with blood work "AFTER" the pain stops ????????

No, he just told me not to over do it. I only have a few beers about once a month. He said, its not enough to hurt you. I take either Maalox or Pepto at least an hour before I drink any beer. Plus I drink a glass of water after a beer to stay hydrated.

If the pancreatic enzymes are elevated, yes the doc can tell if you've got pancreatitis.

But if you're doc already knows you've got Barrett's and a hiatal hernia, hasn't he already told you that you shouldn't be drinking?
