.These sulpher burps are a result of taking acid blockers like Tagamet , Pepsid, etc. Since they block the production of stomach acid, the food does not get broken down and digested properly. Also the stomach acid kills the bacteria in the food. Now the food rots in your stomach causing burps and then it goes through your intestimes not digested or with bacteria therefore causing the vomiting and diarrhea. Just go back to taking a couple of Tums now and then when the acid is too much. .
Well, I read this article that this guy had suffer with the same symptoms for over ten years and according to him he accienctly discover a remedy. He\also mention that ever since then his problem ended and he never got those smelly rotten egg burps.
I have stomach cramps, diarrhea, vomiting, and sulpherous, rotten egg burps. I couldnt keep any food down when it first happened. on and off I have had the sulpherous burps paired with the diarrea, sometimes I have the headache, but not nearly as bad as the first time. I have tried everything and only two things have helped so far: Swimming and ONLY vanilla ice cream. Any Suggestions on what it could be? I have had no surgeries, no other history of stomach problems, or anything. I am hoping it isn't serious, since I am still in my teens...
Now that I think about it, this first happened when I had fast food when I was out of state.. could it be related?
One other thread about the same symptoms suggests prednisone may cause the problem. I went on prednisone a month ago, so can't rule that out. I prefe to blame McDonald's, specifically their McRib sand whiches. Had a couple of them last weekend, and the symptoms started the next day.
Get yourself checked for H. pylori. You do not have to have accompanying symptoms to 'just' have sulpher burping.
