My wife had her Gall Bladder removed by keyhole surgery 5yrs ago and ever since she awoke from the surgery we have seen several people regarding this and the last specialist stated that she will have to get used to it because it will last the rest of her life. This is not how a 43 yr old woman should be like getting help in & out of bed up & down stairs geting in & out of a shower. Even the kids aged 5-7 keeps asking why mummy is still in bed as well as why cant we get a cuddle. She is taking at least 30 plus pills a day plus using morphine patches
). If that's the case, you're going to need to work with a specialist in the field. Try this link: http://www.hopkins-gi.org/GDL_Disease.aspx?SS=&CurrentUDV=31&GDL_DC_ID=320F4EDD-0021-4952-83D7-8B0C67B47BFF&GDL_Disease_ID=7AB086B0-AB01-446E-B011-2E67CAFEF96D
This has been checkeed and is not the problem. My wife says it is around the diaphram and thinks that they could have burned her while doing the op could this be possible and if so can anyone tell me what help to get for her PLEASE.Thanks calgal for your input
Did she have an ERCP done with manometry? It's the only test that can be used to answer the yes or no on SOD. If not SOD, it's possible she could have developed adhesions that can also cause severe pain.
