Sever stomach pain after narcotics

Has anyone experienced debilitating pain after receiving narcotics?  I recently was in the ER for kidney stones and was given IV morphine.  Within minutes I was having the worse pain of my life.  I felt like I was having a heart attack.  I was gasping for air and in the fetal position.  This was the worse pain I have ever had and I am no stranger to pain.  I have had multiple kidney stones and have had three kids.  The pain I experienced made the kidney stone pain seem like a walk in the park.  Please tell me someone has heard of this.

Kim, in some people, the use of narcotics can cause a rise in pressure within the ducts of the biliary system. When that happens, the pain can end be extremely severe and result in curling into a fetal position.
