Long term steroid use can have bad consequences, so I hope your doctor is working on getting you on to something else for pain.  Consider endometriosis as a possibility.  It can can grow on your uterus, ovaries, ligaments, bladder and your bowels.  It can grow into your organs and cause a great deal of pain.  They usually can not find out you have it until they do at least an exploratory surgery.  Also, have they looked at your ovaries to be sure you don't have an endometrioma growing inside of one of them?  I had this and it is very painful.  Sometimes called a chocolate cyst, this result of endometriosis does not go away on its own and can wind up destroying an ovary.

Well, I think dietary measures, including intake of omega 3 sources, that can help inflammation are worth a try!

So did they do the ANA (anti-nuclear antibodies) test screening for autoimmune disorders and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and/or C-reactive protein (CRP) -tests associated with inflammation.  Cortisol has a role in chronic inflammation and immune system.  If it is not in range, the doctor should find out about it.  See PM.

I'm not sure what you mean- are you saying they presume you have Crohn's disease, autoimmune pancreatitis & SLE or that they ruled those out with tests that came back negative or ?  What about trying some natural things with omega fatty acids that are supposed to help inflammation, like flaxseed meal, freshwater fish, walnuts, macadamia nuts, pumpkin seeds, etc.?  If you are not currently taking the steroids, have they checked your cortisol levels in your blood, urine or saliva?

Not really, They do presumed Crohn's disease, autoimmune pancreatitis & SLE.. Been done few test but is negative still.. The Dr's itself cracking their heads what is wrong with n been to ER a lot of time jus to relieve the pain.. Even pethidine doesn't work at all.. Yeah.. The steroid is still the best for me to consume it unfortunately the Dr did not allow me to take it due to the erosion.. Tried acupunture almost 1/2 a year still the pain is there..

Well, do you have any hints you might have an endometriosis problem?  For instance, do you have very painful menses or does your pain worsen with a mense?  The fact steroids seem to help seems to me might mean you have an inflammatory process going on.  Have they ruled out Crohn's disease?  An auto- immmune disease?  Have you tried acupuncture?

Been taking steroid almost a year n end up having ulcer n erosion.. The Dr. told me to immediatelly stop the steroid n once i stop, the pain started persistant n even worse.. I feel comfort with steroid than tramal which doesn't help me at all.. Been taken before gapabentin up to 900mg, Df118 60mg, tramal 100mg, amitriptyline 50mg.. Has no effect on me.. Surprisingly the side effect itself won't affect me at all.. N I had enough of the pain n medication that i take now.. Been doing so many test doesn't know what was wrong wif me. Not to say i want it sick.. My point here is to get diagnosis n get treated once n for all.. Actually I would prefer steroid as it helps my pain eventually, unfortunately can't take it that long.. I'm not sure thats the cause.. they do check on ovary but is normal n do u think is exploratory surgery will find the answer? What if is not shown? Is there any risk? So far my Dr. didin't recommend me yet.. Jus wanna be perfectly well n not suffering pain like this.. Hmmmm.. Thanks alot..
