Severe pressure in upper right abdomen

Hi, in December of 2010 I had an Upper GI Endoscopy. The Dr told me I have hiatal hernia, gastritis, and GERD. I was put on Carafate and Omeprazole 20mg. I did this for about a 6 months but stopped because my symptoms went away. My symptoms are now back and worse than before. After eating I get SEVERE pressure/pain in the upper right part of my abdomen. I believe this same spot is where my hiatal hernia is located. When I press on it (even lightly) I notice there is a lump there. It is under the skin. It is located about about 4 inches above the naval on the right side of my diaphragm/or below the sternum.  Sometimes the pain is so severe I feel I can't breathe and get nauseated. It takes a while for the pressure to let up. I also get hiccups while this is going on which seem to alleviate some of the symptoms somehow. I also feel like food and drink get trapped in this area as I feel water moving around in the upper abdomen. Not sure if it's a sensation or actually happening but it concerns me as well. I've also been having constipation lately, I seem to have a BM every few days instead of everyday and it is always a hard stool. Other symptoms include nausea, bloating, gas, gnawing pain, & pressure. These symptoms come & go and are not always severe while other times I consider going to the ER. I am not overweight (5'2, 102 lbs), exercise, and eat healthy. Could my hiatal hernia be causing this severe pain? Should I be concerned about it being something else? I have already lost 5 lbs because of this and am sometimes even afraid to eat. I am also concerned because my Dr did not specify what type of hiatal hernia I have so I'm scared that I may have a rolling hiatal hernia rather than a sliding one. My test results didn't specify. If anyone has any ideas, remedies, or answers please get back to me. Thank you so much and sorry my post is so long!

Next time you feel that pain, go to the ER. There might be something more going on than just GERD.
