Sharp Pains in stomach

Hi, I haven't been able to find anything on what I'm feeling. I was told I had Acid Reflux but looking at the symptoms, I don't feel like that is right. A few years ago I started to experience incredible stabbing-like pain in my stomach after I ate. I went to the Gastrologist and now I've been taking 20mg a day of Prilosec. When I would forget to take it, the pain would come back later that same day. Now, that pain has come back, even while taking Prilosec. No heartburn. Just a sharp pain that sometimes will wake me up in the middle of the night and last for what seems a very long time. If you have any idea what I have, if it is Acid Reflux, or any advice on what I could do please let me know. This is an uncomfortable pain that I'm nervous could get worse.

did the doctor check for gallstones maybe its the gallbladder
