Sharp pain then diarrhea

by Paul197, Aug 04, 2008 10:11AM
My Gallbladder was removed when I was 25years old, it produced 5 stones.
Just over twenty years later the diarrhea started, immediately after breakfast.
By lunch time I felt better and could go out. Then it would occur after a meal in
a resturant or with friends, now its any time I consume fats, half and hour/hour after eating I
get a pain (colic) which lasts only minutes or so followed by diarrhea.  I have tried avoiding
fats in food, milk, cheese, youghurts, oils, etc. now my calcuim level is dropping so
additional calcum is needed.  Three Colonoscopies later, one poloyp removed I am no closer
to feeling normal.  I take colofac to slow down throughput (imodium (immodium) worked well short term)
Recent development are joint pain in my knees and back and since a Liver infection last year
I now have chronic indigestion.  At 58 is there anything I can do to feel better?

year chronic intergestion.
