. I have been having severe sharp pains in my stomach for about 2 years. I am currently taking Nexium, Levbid, Carafate, Alesse (for hormone therapy, my pain always worsens with my period). My symptoms are pain, fatigue, headaches, loss of appetite, weight loss, and nausea. I am currently seeing a pediactric GI. I have had A LOT of blood work (that always comes back normal), 4 endoscopies, 1 colonoscopy, the barium
xray, and a bowel emptying scan (radiology) within the last year. My first endoscopy showed severe linear ulcers in my stomach and small intestine, by my second and third scopes, they were gone (thanks to the Carafate) but I had suspicious and "old" looking tissue. My colonoscopy was completely normal. My fourth endoscopy was just this week, my ulcers are back, and I have a lot of bile in my stomach still. My GI doctor says she has never seen anything like my case and neither have several of her coleages. At this point I just really want a diagnosis, any ideas?
That sounds pretty serious, I know how you feel, I'm currently waiting on my diagnosis for something similar..What are your diet and lifestyle like, and are there things that you know make you feel worse/better? Any family
history of these problems? Something has to be causing this, I would look into everything you can think of and research your symptoms and possible causes throughly.
Personally I eat very little because of nausea, I get symptoms almost exactly like yours, I also feel my stomach is very sensitive to be poked/squeezed at all, when I havent eaten in 10-14hrs my symptoms get a lot worse. I think all of the things you said are connected, I hope you and I find a diagnosis.
