Shingles

by Dorothy-Gale, Jul 12, 1998 12:00AM

Friend has had very painful shingles for about six years. She has gone to many doctors who have referred her to acupuncture, which did not help; pain management, which did not help; various medications which did not help. Though outward signs of the condition are no longer present, she has constant pain in the upper abdominal area.  Any help out there? Thank you.

Dear Dorothy,
This Forum may not be the best site to obtain the information that you need regarding shingles.  There can be post shingles neuralgia, but I do not know if the pain can persist for several years.  You should consider reposting your question to the Neurology Forum
