Side Affects

by Dave__0__0, Sep 10, 1998 12:00AM

I was diagnosed with H. Pylori and am on a treatment of Prevacid, Amoxycillan and Biaxin to eradicate the bacteria.  Probably 2 days after I started the treatment I noticed that my tongue had a yellowish color film substance.   My physician thinks this may be a side affect of one of the medications.  Do you agree?   Is discoloration in the tongue an indicator of something else?

dear Dave,
Most likely the change in the color of your tongue does not represent a serious problem.  A drug effect is verry possible.  As long as there is no change in the color of your eyes, skin, stool or urine, I would not worry.
