Side pain referred to shoulder

by badger, Apr 26, 2002 12:00AM
For the last 4 days I have had pain in my upper right side, sort of referring to the back and up through the right shoulder. Nagging, feels like the kind of pain you get from running after a meal. I thought at first it was just gas, but it's not. I have soreness in the intestinal area, and the pain is sharpened with a deep breath, although I think it's too low to be respiratory. No other symptoms. I had my galbladder removed 5 years ago, and know that ther are metal clips remaining there. Could these do anything to cause this type of pain? Bending over and tight clothes are uncomfortable.

Hi everyone I am having a really difficult time finding exact symptoms of gallblader attacks.  It all started for me a couple of months ago I get sick evrytime I ate so I stopped eating, then i got the dry heaves that wouldn't quit.  My physician gave me the strongest antacid available with prescription it worked for three days then it stopped helping.  At the time I didn't notice any pain except a pain in my left leg, which made no sense I am overwieght but it hurt like the hip I had to have removed it was ex- rayed and found to be fine.  I went on vacation and have found that my arms are hurting and I have had to use a heating pad to get any rest.  but all these symptoms come and go....I also have Diabetes I am type one have had it for 26 years and I am very very prone to infections so I really don't want it to be a galbladder problem.....if anyone has any thoughts on this I would like to know them, yes i will be visiting my doctor this week.
