Sleeping/gas

For about the last 6 months, I fall asleep breathing through my nose.  As I am sleeping, my mouth must come open because I wake up numerous times a night with gas pain, bloating, and belching to get the excess air out is about the only thing that helps get me back to sleep.  I take a Lunesta, 3 mg. sleeping pill every night, but I still awake so many times with these symptoms.  I am wondering whether my symptoms are a sleeping disorder or a stomach problem.
