Slight Stomach Inflammation

Hi, Doctor diagnosed me with slight stomach inflammation back in april from upper GI.  Been on Nexium off and on the past six months.  I still feel the burning sensation off and on.  Has anyone here actually cured there stomach inflammation?  should I tried other herbal medicines?  btw, no sign of bacteria or ulcers.  I was talking advil for a week prior to the stomach inflammation.  My dr. say I was probably on the borderline prior to taking the advil.  I am also feeling nausea at times.  any input would be appreciated.

thanks.

I've always had GI issues, mostly dealing with last minute runs to the bathroom...literally!  But the last couple of months, I've had nonstop nausea and stomach cramps.  I had an endoscopy and coloscopy last week and was told that my stomach was inflamed and biopsies were done.  I also have diverticulosis.  I don't know what the biopsies might show, so was wondering if anyone can tell me more about that and tell me when I'll finally feel better.  I'm taking Prilosec twice a day, but still have pain and nausea and have to force myself to eat, which usually causes diarrhea.  I want this to be over...

If the diagnosis included acid reflux, you may need to stay on a steady course of PPIs and follow dietary and lifestyle changes to try to clear up the problem for a number of months or perhaps even a year or so. Many people unfortunately find that clearing up the inflammation that results from the over-production of acid is not that easy to get rid of.
