So much pain, swollen abdomen

So much pain, swollen abdomen

About a month ago, I began having loose bowel movements and severe abdominal pain. It was so bad that I went to the Emergency room. They drugged me up and said that sometimes a stomach virus causes swelling to the stomach which causes breathing problems. They sent me home. 2 weeks later I was having the exact same problem so I went to my gastro doctor. He did an egd and said that since the one last year there was a change to the shape of my esophagus, my pancreas enzyme levels were elevated, and that I have a hernia. He took a biopsy and said everything was fine. I don't go back until next week for followup but my stomach keeps swelling up intermittently and I keep getting a raised knot on the left side of my neck. I am nauseated all the time and I am about to have to drop out of graduate classes. What kinds of questions or test should I ask of my doctor. It feels like my gallstone problems all over again except the gallbladder is gone. Also I am losing weight. If I eat until I am full it feels like someone is kneeling in my diaphragm. I can't even sleep on my back cause I wake up gasping for air.
