Sounds and walks like a duck

For the past year or so I have been intermittently having stomach and intestinal discomfort. Primarily occurred after ingestion of alcohol, even in small quantities. About ten hours after consumption, it felt like someone had punched me in the stomach. Two day recovery, sometimes involving diarrhea. No problems otherwise. Recently had a weeklong bout with similar discomfort, one diarrhea espisode. Some cramping, gurgling, occasional acute pain. One episode of diarrhea, no blood, occurred after 2-3 days on Asacol. I've had an upper GI, ultrasound, sigmoidscopy, colonoscopy, stool test, all negative with exception of pinhead size inflammation in my transverse colon. Biopsy was taken with negative result relative to IBD. My GI still thinks it might be Crohn's. Anybody had similar problems or suggestions as to what to do next? I had an allergic reaction to the Asacol and my GI has taken me off it for a few days.

I have a doctor's appointment in 2 1/2 hours because of the identical symptoms x 2 weeks.
I also have a lot of nausea and burping (gas) as well.
I have tried Zantax and maalox for excess gas and acid but this brings veru little relief.
I will let you know how it turned out.
