Splenic Flexture Syndrome

by coolbreeze594, Jul 25, 2009 01:06PM
I am a 41 year old female.  My normal bowel is only diarrhea, which is irritated by ingesting greasy foods.  I have been tested for IBD,IBS,H.Pylori, and Celiac.  All tests came back negative.  The past two months I have had severe abdominal pain.  It started out central and has shifted to my left side.  Occasionally, it shoots under my left ribs and up to my left clavicle.  A recent pelvic x-ray did show excessive air pockets throughout my entire intestinal tract.

The pain is extreme and concentrating on my left side and the inside of my L5-S1 area.  So far, my physician has only given me pain medications.  Could this be Splenic Flexture Syndrome?  What tests should we perform to dx?

Thank you!
