Sponge Pica cause possible human parasites?

Sponge Pica cause possible human parasites?

I have a sever iron deficiency.  In 2003 I started craving dirty water. I’d see the janitor at my workplace mopping the floor and I would just stare at the dirty water with extreme thirst. Then I started craving drinking water from bath sponges, so I went to the local CVS and bought a bath sponge just for my embarrassing craving. For 5 years I was addicted to drinking water from the same sponge. I carried it to work, on business, and at home it sat in my bathroom so I could get water from the bathtub. There were times I drank water from the sponge and got immediate diarrhea and started throwing up for hours, so I would use sculling hot water to disinfect the sponge in case it had bacteria and just drink from it again. In 2007 my doctor said my iron was really low and he put me on Multigen which raised my iron and the pica cravings stopped instantly. Months later I started getting terrible rashes and ulcers on my legs. I saw my doctor and he ran some test. He said I had severe nuetropenia low white blood count and that I needed to see a hematologist ASAP because I may have some types of virus that he can’t find, well no virus found. My WCB will rise to a good number temporarily and suddenly plummet when I get my blood work again, it’s fighting something. I then began getting severely depressed, developed personality disorder, and OCD. For the last couple of years my life has been a complete nightmare. My question is, should I see an infectious disease doctor for possible parasites that I may have contracted by drinking contaminated water from a sponge that was possibly molded?

Yes, you should rule out everything as something is wrong.
