Still having pain

by kk1959, Oct 28, 2009 12:04PM
I had a colonoscopy and EGD last week because I have been having pain in my URQ. The doctor said it showed I had some inflammation in my stomach which is probably the cause of the pain. He didn't check me for H pylori I don't think. He gave me nexium 40 mg take take for 8 weeks. I'm still having the pain, if I take a regular antacid like Tums it seems to help better. I have taken antibiotics for different reasons in the last 3 months and it seems that the pain gets a lot better. But it slowly begins to come back. Does it sound like I may have H pylori and need to be treated w/antibiotics too? I have a followup appt in 3 weeks.
