Stomach/Abdominal Pain

MTV
For about a month, I have had on and off pain in the center of my body, right below the ribs, down the center and to the right.  I had a CT scan done to rule out appendicitis.  The majority of the right sided pain is gone, now I have this intense pain in my center (stomach area right below the ribs and down to my belly button) and it is tender to the touch.  I feel full all of the time and feel like I swallowed a brick.  I have nausea and a bloated feeling right below my ribs.  Slight shortness of breath.  No vomiting or fever.  I don't feel like eating and I spend most of the day laying in my recliner and rubbing my stomach.  I am due for an endoscopy on Jan. 15th.  My gastro history - acid reflux, hiatal hernia and gall bladder removal in 2002.  I feel like I have had nothing but problems since it's removal.  The pain in my stomach/abdominal area has been pretty intense and has been going on for about 3-4 days now.  Any ideas???

No, my stools are ok.  I have had "issues" ever since having my gallbladder out, and I just can't remember how it was before, when I would have symptoms like this.  I have been to the ED twice, and my bloodwork and urine were fine.  I go to my PCP on Monday, so I will see what he has to say.  It's just the pain, fullness and slight shortness of breath that I am worried about.

Have you had your liver and pancreatic enzyme levels checked? It is possbile to have changes related to the gallbladder removal long after it's gone. Have your bowel habits changed, diarrhea, bulky stools?
