Stomach Pain after alcohol

Whenever I drink alcohol, any alcohol, even half a glass of wine, I suffer severe stomach pain after about 20 minutes. The pain doesn't last long - about 15 - 30 mins, but leaves me with a bloated stomach. The pain is so severe, I often have to lie down. I don't suffer this pain after any food, just alcohol. This has been happening over the past year or so. I have more or less given up alcohol to avoid the pain, but try it out every few months to see if the problem has gone away. I have never had an alcohol problem.
