Stomach Pain and needing the toilet more than normal

In the past few days my stomach has been causing me a lot of pain and I have needed to go to the bathroom more than normal. At first I had assumed it was a reaction to alcohol but it has persisted for days after. The pain can come on all of a sudden and I will sometimes need to immediately get to a toilet. The stomach pain in the beginning felt like continuing  menstrual cramps but days after the end of the cycle and the pain is still there. I am also experiencing pain in my back when I lie down. I currently suffer from an anxiety disorder and wonder if this could be a factor or could be worsening the symptoms.
