Hiya, I was wondering how you were getting on.
Sorry to hear that you are getting stomach spasmsCoronary artery spasm Croup Eyelid twitch Facial tics Hand or foot spasms Urge incontinence Vascular spasm when you eat. My doctor gave me antispasmodics (before I knew about the probiotics) and they helped a bit, but I wouldn't want to be on them a long time... although if the pain is that bad, maybe it is a thought.
Does it happen everytime you eat or just certain foods or classes of foods (eg dairy, etc)? I used to get spasmsCoronary artery spasm Croup Eyelid twitch Facial tics Hand or foot spasms Urge incontinence Vascular spasm when I would eat things I shouldn't (ie things that my stomach couldn't handle- it could be anything from boiled rice to strawberries, onions, milkBreast milk Breast milk jaundice Lactose intolerance Nipple discharge - abnormal). I tried to avoid them but it got to the point that I had to avoid everything (then I went on the probiotics and only 3 weeks later am I able to reintroduce foods. I still avoid dairy and wheat.
Did you always have spasmsCoronary artery spasm Croup Eyelid twitch Facial tics Hand or foot spasms Urge incontinence Vascular spasm when eating or has that changed recently?
Do you have spasms when your not eating or only when you eat?
Have you tried the probiotics? If so, have they helped at all? Also, I wanted to thank you for passing on the www.healthy.net site. Have you tried any alternative medicines, etc. suggested from there or seen someone recommended on the site?
I was also wondering if your stomach problems caused you any other symptoms like fatigue? I am experiencing extreme fatigue (I need to sleep 4 hours every afternoon and I am chronically tired) and I was wondering if this is normal for digestive problems... I feel like I am going crazy as I am only 28 years old...
although I guess I am lucky as before the pain was to great to be tired.
All the best, Reb
Hi again ;)
No, I haven't tried the probiotics yet. I'm seeing a new gastro doctor this friday and just want to wait to see how everything goes and to perhaps throw a few things at him first. As for that website healthy net, I do in fact plan on seeing one of those doctors who are in my area. He's also listed in the ACAM.com website. (My favorite one) He will be my new internist. My spasms only seem to happen when I eat, Not all the time, but enough. Chronic Fatigue plays a MAJOR role in the digestive system. This Doctor is about an hour or so away from me, I was planning on seeing him if nothing happened. You'll LOVE this article. I also want to purchase his book which is on the website. It's called, "The Canary and Chronic Fatigue." Read this article and when you're done, click on Home at the bottom of the page to see the website. You'll really find it interesting.
Hello, thank you SO much for that site, you are MUCH better than I am at finding things on the net!
The site was very reassuring as I feel like I am going crazy- I need to sleep constantly- my mother thinks it is psychosomatic/emotional- and she's a doctor so it is difficult to argue with her! I just finished University so I am supposed to be looking for a job, and I need to go back to sleep as soon as I wake up in the morning. I get so frustrated and angry, I KNOW I am not depressed as there are so many things I want to do but I just don't have the energy. It is especially frustrating when people suggest that its all in my mind!
I would think about going to an "integrated medicine" doctor, but I live in the UK, and the doctors I have seen here just think it will take time to heal, which I guess is true, but after 2.5 months in bed (including pneumonia) I would like to speed things up a bit!
Do you have chronic fatigue? If so, are you able to carry on with your daily life? If so, any tips?
I hope you get on well tomorrow seeing your new doctor, let me know how you get on.
All the best and thanks again for the websites, they are so helpful!

I have been having lots of nausea for about the past two months.
I wake up about 5 a.m. as nauseated as I can be. I usually don't throw up. I too am tired All the time! I have had what appears to be the flu 3 times this month. No fever, aches, headache, nausea, diarrea (diarrhea). Not fun. I had my gallbladder removed two years ago this month and I WAS doing great. I had energy at least. I also have pain right below my sterum and to the left and it seems to pull to the back by my shoulder blade. What is this? I also have elevated liver enzymes. No hepatitis and my liver ultrasound came back normal. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
