Stomach discomfort, occasional blood in stool.

I've always had a history of a weak stomach, but recently I've been having some stomach issues. After a weekend of heavy drinking, and a sunday of heavy coffee consumption, I had a bowel movement with a few drops of blood in the toilet and toilet paper with a decent quantity of blood on it.

Occasionally I'll notice that my stool has dark spots in it, which I'm assuming is blood from somewhere in my upper GI tract. I drink a lot of water daily, and while my stools are regular colored, there is also patches of lighter shades mixed in with the stool. Sometimes appearing like seeds or nuts.

I've also had some stomach discomfort all over abdomen. Very mild. I don't feel nauseous and don't think I've been suffering from any other symptoms. My appetite is still normal, I think.

I assume its an ulcer and have been taking Zantac daily. Any ideas?

Rectal bleeding is never normal and you should seek medical advice.
