after i eat, about 2 hours later, i get nausea real bad, followed by a pain under my left side of my rib cage, followed by intense gas pains, I have a bowel movement, pain goes away, just nauseaed for the rest of the day. Any ideas? IBS?
Thank you! Are you talking about probiotics? If not can you give me an example of a brand name enzyme to take? Or are they all the same? I do not eat alot of dairy or red meat. Yesterday morning I had a breakfast skillet, potatoes, onions and toast, there was pork sausage in it but I picked it out. I had whole wheat toast. My question is why does it keep me nauseaed all day after the episode? I had to take 2 pills to get rid of the nausea my Dr. prescribe? Nausea is my worst enemy!!!!
I wouldn't be too quick to diagnose yourself with IBS. It could simply be gas pains from improper digestion. Have you tried taking digestive enzymes yet? This really helped me break down the food. Proteins especially, as it takes more effort for the body to break protein down.
You can find many digestive supporting supplements at health food stores.
If you suspect an intolerance, try cutting back on dairy and gluten and see if you notice improvement.
All the best.
