Stomach spasms

by Sno416, Jan 01, 2002 12:00AM
I have been having some type of bad fluttering just below my
sternum.  It feels like spasms of some kind.  No pain. It just
happens and  some flutters are so intense it takes my breath
away, feels like my heart is going is stop, my head feels big
and my legs and arms get limp.  Sometimes I wake up at night
and I gasp for breath and the fluttering gets really bad.  I
have had supraventricular tachycardia most of my life and have
had the ablation procedure three years ago.  This feels different
from the tachycardia.  sometimes the fluttering goes up my chest
but feels like big bubbles. I have a small hiatal hernia but the times it bothers me I feel pain.  After I have an episode of this
fluttering (feels like something big turns over and over)I'm sore
where it happens. Thanks for the help.

I have been having this fluttering in my "bread box".  It does not hurt, it just feels like something flipped over.  It has been doing it off and on all day today.  Sometimes it does take my breath away, but I think that is because I start to panic wondering what in the heck it is.  I started asking some ladies about it at work and one lady said her mother had the same thing and it is an esphogus spasum and it's caused by food, drink, Rx's, etc.

The only way to find out what it is, is to go to the doctor when it is occuring.  If you can't get in to your doctor go to the ER.  Make sure its not your Heart.

I did go today.  EKG showed I was throwing PVCs.  I had an
echocardiogram.  I'll get those results tomorrow.  Looks like
I'm back where I started with the tachycardia.  Thanks to you
who commented to me.
