Stones in bile duct

Stones in bile duct

Dear Doctor
My father is around 60yrs old. He is a diabetic and blood pressure patient. He takes a controlled diet and medicines regularly.
He had acute pain in the upper abdomen portion continuing from the shoulder plate to the kidney portion last week. Doctor had given him pain killer after which he dint had any pain at all...
we had done ultrasound immediately.. which showed some simple renal cyst in the Right Kidney.. We also had got done some other test like LFT, CT scan n all.. nothing came as such.. Wanted to know the reason of such an acute pain which was intolerable????...
He also had his Gall Bladder Stone operation 3yrs back..Doctor has asked him to get an MRCP done...
Kindly suggest.. what can be done in this case....
Regards

Wait for the MRCP results. Until then, there's really not much he can do other than stick to a very low fat diet, just to be on the safe side.
