Stool size

I am not constipated; have regular bowel movements with no straining; but in the past couple months the stool size has chanaged its shape from round to a a very thin flat size.  Is this indicative of anything serious?

heard thin shaped *could be* a sign of colon cancer..just heard though..

you could maybe go to a gi or family doctor if you're slightly worried about it and ask about that.  They could do a 'digital exam' (not fun) right there to check or send you to a Gi specialist..if you're near 50 you should have a colonoscopy anyway but that would check it out..

in the meantime you could just buy some fiber supplements of some sort and try that out and see what happens.  Least you're not in pain or nausea or screaming for help like so many others on this board.  But if you have any family history of colon cancer and insurance i'd check it out via colonoscopy.  Good luck
