Did they sweep the duct when they did your surgery? If not and some small stones or sludge escaped during the surgery, it's possible that it could be causing the problem.
From your description of the pain, it sounds as though you're having spasms
Doc said to give my body a few more days to heal. It may just be post surgical pain. He put me on darvacet instead of percocet since I couldn't handle the nausea. I have just been eating what is available since my DH had to go back to work and I watch my 2year old til my 5year old gets out of school
then they go to the baby sitters. My "healing time" is from noon til 6 then my DH does his best to keep the kids at bay, but hey, they're kids. At least they are not jumping on me or sitting on me or anything. Just want to be in the same room as me all the time. The pain has subsided a bit, if it's not getting better (or gets worse) by monday then for sure will say something to doc again. Will also be paying attention to what I eat and if the pain is following that.
How is your pain? I almost have none but one incision still trickles a little blood from time to time. I have been eating more stuff and even getting a little constipated instead of the other way around. Is this normanl? I have had some episode of the other problem but not recently.
Still have pain in the upper right side (not like pre surgery pain). It almost feels as if there is something there, like when I lay on my left side I cannot put my right arm down infront of me. It just hurts too much. I get really bad pains when I have to make a bm, but have not had anything but constipation even though I'm off the pain killers. I just now am having some pain that is the same as before the surgery, which is the between the shoulderblades pain. I go back to see my surgeon next week, so I'm gonna ask him yet again about my pancreas. The only incision that leaks just a drop or less of blood every once in a while is the one upper mid abd. Guess that is where they actually took that bad boy out. Ok, off to take a pain killer as the referred pain is too much for me right now. Take care.
what you have there is called clipolithasis. which means in laymen terms get those fn clips out of you!they use titanium clips during the new laparascopic surgey.these clips are used to stop blood flow(cystic artey clip) and to stop bile duct flow(cystic duct clip)so they can perform surgery(less blood flow and less bile flow to gallbldder).but of course they don't tell you that these clips will do two things #1 migrate from their location into the bile duct blocking bile flow and #2 clamping off blood supply and bile supply to the liverhence the new terminology doctors are using when patients are coming back feeling worse after their new invention (laparascopic cholecsectomy).then they will send you in for an ercp to put a scope down your throat and do one of either things #1remove the clips that dont belong there to begin with freeing you fom future pain or #2put a stent in you(like they did me)and cause you further pain leaving you debilitated and unable to work to get insurance to correct the problem because once you find out that they have done this THEY ALL COVER IT UP because it is the buddy system and the doctor who put it in can sue the doctor who takes it out.it's called deflamation of character.if the above were not true why would they be inventing new disoveable clips that will fall off after awhile and a new suturing device(stitches) to go along with the new and improved laparascopic surgery.best advice, get an attorney while you have a chance and if you are lucky and the attorney doesn't take kick back money fom the doctor via the ameriacn medical assoc.because they know damn well they are hurting and killing people with these new surgeries an don't have te compassion to help you once you become their guinea pigs.they will discard you like road kill because all they are is the lapdogs to the american medical assoc. and fda.and one more thing i hope you get this comment because the doctor or his goons went behind me and erased all my helpful suggestions i posted to sick patients yesterday.that's ahat they get for not finishing off the job of killing me leaving me debilitated and unable to work.i'll just keep on posting the truth while they fill tour heads up with ****!p.p.s.i thought the doctors creed was "first do no harm."look up on google search (clips migrating into bile duct) and (stents occluded after ercp).good luck to you.
I've actually been wondering if they had left a piece of equipment in me after the surgery. I just feel like there is something solid there because I feel something there upper middle/right abdomen when my ribcage area is pushed together a little (like when you lay on your side and try to put your arm down infront of you to put your hand next to your opposite shoulder on the bed). They just called in some pain meds for me to get me through the weekend. When I go in on Wednesday, I'm going to ask lots of questions. I'm taking notes on my pain and suggestions from other people on the board here so that I don't forget anything. I want my doc to know that I'm staying as informed as possible and that I'm not going to let this pain go undiagnosed. My doctor is actually really good about listening to my ideas on what could be going on. Just hope that we can get this taken care of. Sorry to hear about your mishap, and I hope that everything will be ok for you. I really appreciate you taking the time and effort to write your story and information for me. It may be just what I needed to know for when I go back to the doctor. I never knew anything about any clips. Again, thank you and take care.
Jep, I can understand your point and bitterness from your medical neglect. Constantly, you got your GB surgery around the same time as me, and it sure doesn't sound right to me and I hope you get to the bottom of it soon. I feel fine , no more dripping and even ate a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese for lunch. Towmorrow maybe a real burger, with juicy red meat! all the best
