Sulfer burps, bubbly stomach, and more.

Does anyone have any advice for what is causing my discomfort?  It starts out as painful stomach cramps and chills.  followed by nasty sulfer burps.  it usually ends with vomiting, diareah, and bubbly and churning of my stomach.  the pains are usually in my upper stomach right under my ribs.  the very first time this ever hit me i was 18 yrs old and went to the ER.  they told me i had an ulcer but they weren't sure and i've had lactaid problems before but, i found out my ulcer was my son and my mom and doctor avised against taking my lactaid.  now years later the problems arise and i'm not pregnant now and kind of scared.  this happens every 2-3 weeks and is killing my active life.  i usually just stay in bed and wait for everything to stop but, mom of 2 is very busy and want's her life back now i'm sicklie enough without the help of this reaccuring problem.
i'm begging for someone who can answer this problem my doctors can't even figure out?
What's wrong with me?

I have had that too and found out years later that it was IBS. Dr. Put me on dicyclomine for when I started get stomach cramps and carafate to take before eating and I was a new person!

Folks--I had the same thing.  It turned out to be Giardia.

I have had this 10 times in the last 14 months.  Mine all started after I had my first child and then had the flu shot.  A friend said she had similar symptoms and they took out her gallbladder. I have the exact same symptoms and need help!!!

this is the second time that I have these horrible attacks in a year.  It starts out with nausea, like if I was going to throw up.  I spent part of the night by the toilet because I was convinced that I would throw up.  And then the burping starts...the nasty, nasty burping with the rotten egg tast and smell.  In both cases I have not thrown up (though I wished I could because it might make me feel better).  This is usually mixed with diarreha (more towards the end of the 'attack') and stomach cramps.  The first time it lasted 24 hours. This time, hopefully no longer, we are at 18 hours and counting.  I have no idea what causes this...or what helps...anyone with answers??? At least I am somewhat relieved that I am not the only one with this thing...

I cant believe other people are having this same problem. My regular doctor sent me to a couple specialists and no one can find anything i have gone gullbladder checks and stomach emptying scans and nothing ever comes back abnormal. When these "attacks" as i call them occur im stuck in bed for sometimes up to 36 hours. Extreme stomach pains, extreme diarreha and the nastiest burps that are like rotten eggs. I sleep it off and then it comes back sometimes weeks later or sometimes sooner. I might get fired if i dont stop calling in but there is no way I can work while im so sick. I dont know what to do!

It sounds like you need to be checked for either acid reflux or gallbladder problems. This is something that can be figured out. Go to your doc and ask for some testing.
