Sulfur / Rotten Egg Burps, followed by throwing up

For about 6 months i have been having abnormal bowel movements, either to soft / to hard / to frequent / constipated etc... My burps at times smell so awfull my 8 yo son says ewwwww Mommy that stinks and they do they actually smell like poo. I also at times when these burps occur will vomit and my vomit looks like i just went to the bathroom and had diarrhea. Tonight i began with some moderate stomache pain and this is happening all the time like it doesn't never go away anymore. I am so afraid to even find out what this may be but i need to know asap. Does anyone else ever or has anyone else ever experienced these signs and symptoms before? If so what do you think it is from? Any and all polite comments are appreciated very much. Like i said i am so afraid, as cancer runs in my family big time. ANYONE?

Some of the symptoms you're describing could result from the presence of H. pylori, the bacterium that is correlated with gastritis and acid reflux. But if by 'looking like diarrhea' you're suggesting your vomit is of a dark color, it could be that you have an upper GI bleed going on and you're throwing up food mixed with small amounts of blood that have been acted on by acid in the stomach. Please consider making an appointment with your doctor and asking to have some testing done.

Thank you so so much for your response. Yes my stools are a dark brown, so the possibility of blood is very likely, i just never thought of it i guess. I also noticed you mentioned acid reflux, well i have been suffering from severe acid reflux for a few years now. I used to get relief from ranitidine 300 mg prescription strength (Zantac).Now i take 300 mg and at times, well most of the time i get no relief at all, so i know it is much much worse. When i get acid reflux which is every single day it is very painfull and uncomfortable and is just getting worser and worser as the days go by. Also i am morbidly obese and i am sure this is why i have the acid reflux to begin with. First thing tomorrow morning i will be making a doctor appt. for tomorrow. I must find out what's going on before it's to late. I should have already had this taken care of long ago but i am so afraid of what a doctor may say to me due to the high risks of cancer that runs through my immediate family.
