Swallowing

I have had difficulty swallowing food and liquids for many years.  No matter how small the bites or sips are, I throw the food/liquid back up.  Its usually thick with mucus.  I have been on Nexium, per pcp, but it doesn't seem to help.  I have Schlerederma and am wondering if this is the reason.  I also have 5 other types of arthritis.  Help.

Have you checked with a GI doc and had any testing done? Very thick mucus can often be a sign of acid reflux issues, but also of food intolerance/allergies, too. Further testing might be necessary.
