Hello. This is my first post here and I thank anyone who helps out. Over the course of the past month and a half, I have been experiencing some abdominal discomfort coupled with loose stools. At first I thought it was just a stomach virus because of my diet. Then I noticed there was some blood with my stools so then i thought it was constipation/hemorrhoids. Well, after a few bouts with fecal
I decided to see my doctor. I informed her I have not had a normal bowel movement in over a month. Fast forward to after two blood tests, abdominal CT and ultrasounds, my doctor noticed that there was swelling
. The main cause I was told is due to excessive alcohol consumption or diabetes. The funny thing is that I do not drink at all & I have been cleared of diabetes. So she is unsure as to why it is happening. She did say it was pancreatititis but it was rare for someone of my age, so now we are investigating why it happened. I am thinking it might be when I was away on business a month ago where I ate some food that my body wasn't familar with plus a host of other non-healthy meals. I am thinking maybe I had an infection somewhere along the way. Overall, I feel fine on a day to day basis, the pain isn't crippling, the only time I feel any discomfort is when I feel the urge
for a bowel movement (Which as I mentioned is strictly liquid)
I am now being scheduled for an abdominal MRI and an appt with a GI doctor. I am just hoping to get some feedback from anyone who might have had similar symptoms and or diagnosis in hopes to gain a better understanding of what is going on in my body.
