Tailbone pain, Blood in stool

Last August, I began to see blood in my stool.  The blood was not splotchy, rather, it was like I had a cut in my rectum or intestine, as the blood was only on one side of the stool, and in a straight line.  I should also point out, for a few years before this, I had tailbone pain.  Nothing severe, just a nagging pain off and on.  Around this time when the blood showed up, the tailbone pain started to get worse.  Also confusing the matter was I was constipated, severely.  I could only go maybe once every five days, sometimes longer.  After a few months of this (I know I should have gotten it checked out sooner, but I'm not one for doctors), I got it checked out and had a colonoscopy in December.  The doctor found nothing and put me on stool softeners.  These helped a little, but I still had the same symptoms.  I decided to go to a specialist and got another coloscopy done.  She found a 5cm area of enflamed intestine, and put me on a different stool softener.  At exactly the same time I changed my diet.  No cheese, no white bread, etc.  I also stopped taking aspirin related medicines.  About two weeks after I stopped doing this, the blood stopped and I started to go regularly.  The tailbond didn't stop entirely though, rather, it went back to that nagging feeling I got so often.

Just one week ago, I started to see blood on my stool again, and the tailbone pain came back (the tailbone pain would get worse when I had to pass a stool throughout this).  I have since relaxed my diet somewhat, but I only have white bread once a week, still with no cheese, and no aspirin.  I still go to the bathroom once every two days though.

I am afraid to go back to the doctors again as they seemed to not know what was going on in the first place.  Does anyone have a suggestions as to what I am going through?

Thank you in advance.

I know exactly what your talking about. Im 18 and have been through rather severe tail bone pain and an excessive amount of blood in my stools. Ive been very concerned about this. I have a scheduled colonoscopy coming up soon but my doctor said this is unnecessary but the pain is too much and need to know why.

If you have any info on this, ill really appreciat it.

I also have had this problem. I'm 18 and I think it could be piles, am unsure though. I haven't gone to toilet right for a longgg time now and I just don't know why! I have tried changing my diet, eating more fruit and veg, fibre but nothing seems to work! I'm always so bloody constipated, which makes me bleed-or is very sore afterwards-im unsure if it is a subconcious thing when it comes to going to toilet, but I hate it...recently I have developed pain in my tail bone...which is very odd, also it feels as if I strain quite a bit even when im not on the toilet. My doc gave me softners but that just gives me the dioreah!:( I always worry but it really annoys me :(
