Tailbone pain after colonoscopy

CRF
Hi

I had a colonoscopy in Dec of 2006, I had a couple of polyps removed but all was fine. I had some tialbone soreness afterwards that I thought would go away, but it has got progressively worse and I am now going to see my doctor. Any one alse had similar problems?

Thanks

I had a colonoscopy in 3/09 and have had persistent tailbone pain since.  My doctor finally agreed to x-ray the area and they have confirmed that my tailbone was not in alignment witht he rest of my spin.  Still waiting for an appointment to discuss treatment options.

Hi - I'm 27 and just had a colonoscopy last week.  I'm having the same problem, and the area around my tailbone on the left side seems like bone is protruding or it's extremely swollen.  I'm considering calling a specialist and possibly an attorney.  Check this link out: http://www.coccyx.org/medabs/foye9.htm

emgscot, Any update on the tailbone pain after colonoscopy? I hope it has gotten better. An update to your June 2007 posting would be much appreciated.

I have had the same thing happen.  Has your tailbone pain gone away?  What helped?   It has been 2 months since my colonoscopy and my pain was improving but now is much worse.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

I had the same problem.  I asked my doctor if the tailbone pain was related to the colonoscopy and he said no way (looked at me kinda funny, too).  If you get any answers, please post again.  Thanks and sympathy.
