I recently visited the United States in April (New York and Washington DC) and halfway through the trip once we had headed onto Washington I got sick. I suffered from Nausea and Intense Vomiting for 24 Hours and a couple others in my group proceeded to get sick aswell, but I was by far the worst. We only ate from recognised food vendors and restaurants and didn't do back-alley eateries at all. However, Since I've returned to the UK 4 months ago, My faeces have been floating (where as before the trip they never did) and recently i've noticed sort of white specs/lumps in my stool. Could this be a tape worm? I've also noticed that I'm having bowel movements more frequently than I used to and additionally i'm producing a lot more gas.
