Tell me about it!

Right now I have a sickening case of sulpher burps.  They're absolutely disgusting!  They taste and smell like rotten eggs.  I could clear MYSELF out of a room with these suckers!  They're like a vile, raunchy, wretched, putrid, evil, wicked, 'OH MY GOD I JUST WANNA DIE NOW' smellin' fart, only it's comin' outta your mouth.  I don't get these too often, but when I do...PHEW!!!  LOOK OUT!!!  In this case, it's been comin' and goin' for about the past 3 days now.  I'll try anything to get rid of them, just to see what works.  I'm just about to eat a pickle, to see if the vinegar will help.  It's not the greatest either, but I figure pickle breath has gotta be better than that sulpher tasting **** that smells like it's emanating right outta the bowls of hell.  If someone gets a clue how to fix this, please let us all know.  Honestly, I feel like poo and it's killing my love life!

To: Tell me about it!
Update:  Last night I ate a garlic pickle.  Didn't work all that well, or at least it didn't work fast enough.  Read some other comments about any kind of bitters in your stomach being helpful.  Nobody said anything about alcohol and I wondered if that might help.  So I had a shot before I went to bed.  My stomach burned, but it actually pretty much took care of the sulpher burps, because the booze was so strong tasting.  Only thing was, while I was laying in bed I started having sharp pains in my esophagus.  Got to sleep in spite of the pain, but woke up this morning with sharp pains in my stomach now.  I think I have an ulcer again.  I've had them before and I know how it feels.  Maybe that's why I had the stinkin' sulpher burps to begin with.  So far today I don't have the sulpher burps, but they come and go anyway.  That's not to say they won't return tonight, which is what usually happens.  But now I'm in pain.  So, great.  I guess I'll just have to suffer with this and hope the ulcers heal.  Sulpher burps and ulcers.  What a life.  My sulpher burps could peel the paint of an entire industrial complex.  Not good for the love life.  And ulcers aren't exactly conducive to romance either.

Visit a gastroenterologist and ask for:
- urea breath test for bacterium Helycobacter pylori. This is a common cause of peptic ulcer and you will hardly treat an ulcer without treating eventual H. pylori.
- lactulose breath test for small bacterial overgrowth (SIBO).

Sulphur burps, whatever you eat, on the end are caused by bacteria. Just visit a gastro.
