Thanksgiving dinner

Thanksgiving dinner

I had my gallbladder removed 1/4/2008.  A couple of months afterwards I felt pretty good, minus occasional bouts with upset stomach.  However, now I am starting to feel like I did before the surgery.  I feel full all the time, like I have just eaten a big meal.  There is not any pain just more of a discomfort feeling, it also spreads to my lower back and between my shoulder blades.  I was wondering what is causing this.

You might want to consider adopting a low-fat diet to try to see if that is of help. Many people find that they don't process fats the way they did before the surgery and it may take some time for that situation to improve.

The "pain" sounds like boating. Might the feeling be coming after fatty (or fattier than normal) meals? Talk to your doctor about this, since it may be a number of things. When you have your gallbladder out your liver starts doing extra duty, so if you're not eating all that well, then that right there might be your answer. Try making sure your diet is fairly low fat, mostly fruits and vegetables, and maybe take some supplementation for liver cleansing, to see what you feel like in a month.
