Tiny black flakes in stool

I have hemorrhoids and they were acting up so I checked the tissue to see if they were bleeding and saw a few black tiny spots, I checked the stool and saw a few more and have ben seeing them on and off for several months. I have I B S  so take Metamucil  almost every night, could this be the cause of this? I have no idea how long these spots have been there.. I have no stomach pain to speak, do get like reflux type pain once in awhile but nothing to . DO get a lot of lower  G. I. pain from the I B S  but  have been getting colonostopies  due to polyps, next one is a 5 year interval, went from 2 years to 3 now 5.

Thanks,  Line

Here are tips on how you can prevent your hemorrhoids from flaring-up.

1. Consume fiber rich foods like fruits and vegetables. You can also take fiber supplements.
2. Avoid toilet straining.
3. Prolonged sitting.
4. Lifting heavy object.

You can also use witch hazel cream to reduce the swelling.

Consult your physician. It may be blood. Black blood comes from the area above the lower colon, and a bleed from a polp or breach in the intestinal wall could be quite dangerous.
