Hi.  I have also been suffering from trapped gas.I could actually feel as if gas was travelling through my whole body.  its really painful.  Try peppermint - it is a tasty way to relieve gas, nausea, and stomach pain due to an irritable bowel, intestinal cramps, or indigestion. And for the pain you can try camomille.  My doctor advised me to have Duspatalin 200mg capsules.  I really felt better after having taking this medicine.  Less flatulence ,basically no gas ,no more abdominal cramps ,no more constipation that's what i experienced.  Duspatalin is actually administered to sufferers of IBS.

Look for medications (OTC) that you take before eating to prevent the gas, or any medication that says it breaks up gas in the intestine, Phazyme is one.  There are medications your doctor can prescribe for this as well. Take care!

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  Have you tried reducing your intake of gas producing foods?  These foods would include lactose, beans, carbonation, etc.  I think you should try eliminating you intake of these foods and see if that helps.
