Trouble Swallowing, Burning

Trouble Swallowing, Burning

A couple of weeks ago, I noticed that when I swallow a second after, it feels like there is an obstruction in my throat. I went to the hospital because of problems with my neck, and they did a chest x ray and concluded nothing. I also went to a Neurologist and had an enclosed MRI done of my neck and head which showed nothing. The past couple of days I have gone through cycles of feeling and being shaky, burning up, cooling down. But I have also had nausea and a burning in my throat after I drink something, and then it travels down into my stomach. Also, when I burp, which takes alot of effort, I burp up liquid, or stomach acid also. I also feel very lightheaded, and in the back of my nose just above my throat, I feel a soreness burning, and my nose is also becoming congested. Can anyone shed light on this collection of symptoms? I feel very weak, and also scared at what is happening to me. I feel like I am getting sick, but then I become fine, and it's just my throat and nausea bothering me. If a chest x ray was clean a couple of weeks ago, does that mean I am in the clear for any kind of lung cancer? And am I in the clear for throat cancer because of the MRI's I had done? I am a smoker, and I have been coughing more than usual the past couple of months. But I also go outside in the cold at work without a jacket on. Also my teeth are very shaky, and I feel like my tongue is getting bigger and is also shaking. Someone please shed light. If it is as simple as Acid Reflux or something of the manner, I will be overjoyed on Christmas.

I get that badly. I have GERD, Gastro Esphogeal Reflux disease. It can be really painful at times.  Go to your doc, at this point, really medication is the only answer. I'm on Nexxium and that helps for the most part. I still have break through reflux at night and I've bought a wedge pillow so I'm not lying flat. You also have to make changes to your diet, and smoking can make it worse. I trying to quit smoking.

Reflux can make you cough, the acid can go down the wrong pipe, before I changed my diet, I actually had an inhaler because I've had refluxed induced asthma. It can also go up your nose as well, it's really nasty.  I would also recommend you eat very bland food for a bit, let the acids simmer down. This means no coffee, soda, alchohol, fast foods, red meat, dairy can irritate it, even salads can be rough on a tummy. Make sure you don't eat at least 2 hours before bed.  I also recommend you not eat until you're full.

I also think you have a bit of anxiety, so you need to learn to relax and do some self care, including wearing jackets outside. I hope this helps and you see your GP soon.
