I had my gallbladder removed in Oct 2006 due to stones. For a while I was ok but around February of 2007 I started to experience severe upper right quadrant pain, nausea, vomitting, and diarrhea. I've also gained about 30-40 lbs in the last few months even though I've started to eat better and my excersize level is the same. I experience this every day though sometimes it's not as severe as it once was. I've had an endoscopy, an ERCP which gave me a severe case of pancreatitisAcute pancreatitis Chronic pancreatitis Pancreatitis Pancreatitis, acute - ct scan Pancreatitis, chronic - ct scan and was in the ICU for 2 weeks, and the cutCuts and puncture wounds the SphincterAnal sphincter anatomy Inflatable artificial sphincter of Oddi muscle during that ERCP. I've had a mess of CT Scans (without the iodine because of my allergy), X-Rays, and blood work. All show no signs of anything abnormal. Just a few weeks ago I had a HIDA scan and the doctor said it showed nothing abnormal. I had the CCK with it because the doc was looking to make sure the SphincterAnal sphincter anatomy Inflatable artificial sphincter of Oddi was taken care of correctly. I've now been referred to a Pancreatic specialist. This is still happening and it's affecting my lifestyle. I'm on a narcotic pain medication that I hate taking and an anti-nausea medication...both meds make me tired and groggy. Does anyone have any other ideas what might be causing this? Could this be caused by taking Birth Control? Could this be caused by PCOS? Could this be caused by my thyroid? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
