Dear Anne O,
We know that foods are not the cause of ulcer disease, but certain foods can exacerbate the symptoms of ulcers. IOt is imperative to know if your daughter has H.
pyloriHelicobacter pylori
Pyloric stenosis infection and if so make certain that she has appropriate treatment and that there is verification that the infection has been eradicated. Once H.

Pyloric stenosis is eliminated, ther should not be any further problems with ulcer pains.
When patients ask us what they can eat, we answer that they can eat whatever does not upset the stomach. Ingeneral foods high in fat shoud be avoided as should acidic foods such as orange juice, If your daughter has intermittent symptoms, she may want to consider yaking over-the-counter antacids or H2 receptor antagonists.
