Ulcer? Or something else?

For the past 7 mons I have been experiencing pain on and off.

I had some kind of 'attack' when I was pregnant that sent mr to the ER. Extreme pain in the middle of my abdomen and upper back. The same thing also happened again about a month ago (no longer pregnant.) the hospital suggested I have either an ulcer or gallstones but didn't do any tests.

My doctor put me on tecta, an ulcer med, about 3.5 weeks ago. It seems to ha e helped me abdominal pain, but I am still getting the upper back pain. And now, just a few days ago, I've started having pain in my right chest every time I swallow. It almost feels like something is trapped there but I wasn't eating anything when it started.

Are these common symptoms of an ulcer?? Wouldn't the meds have fixed it by now? Or is it maybe something else.

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  It sounds like it might be a problem with your gallbladder.  I would recommend seeing a gastroenterologist to figure out what is wrong.

After a trip to emerge due to intense pain they found gallstones! Going in for surgery in the next few weeks.
