Ulceration of Ileum

I have ulceration of my ileum. I get discomfort and mild pain in my lower ab region. No other symptoms. I take BP meds and Metformin for diabetes. Occasionally Tramadol for back pain.
What causes this and how do I treat it?
Negative for H Pryori. Colon also ok.

I have a follow-up appointment with the GI doctor next month and I will be
asking a bunch of questions about this.

You are correct, IBD is still a possibility.  This should have been checked for during the colonoscopy.

No I have not.  I don't have diarhrea or bleeding along with the mild pain, which
are usually part of those two conditions. Maybe in the early stages you don't
have all the symptoms.

Have you been checked for crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis?

Probably for about 3 years. It was discovered during a recent colonoscopy.
