Ulcerative Colitus Cure - is out there

by pstuartcrow, Oct 24, 2007 10:52AM
I have also read Peter Cartwright's book and trying to learn more about Faecal Enemas ...
Tests done in New South Wales - Australia.
Any news would be welcomed.

I have had this condition for many years and still seeking a solution after many failed attempts.
Todays discovery is Tahitian Noni Juice - which is supposed to work after six months, I tried Aloe Vera which had next to no effect, chinese contained some natural steroids and worked with partial success. VSL3 was successful in providing extra wind although probiotics that do not get digested in the stomach such as Lactobaccilus GG seem to help. Currently taking Acidophilus - too early to report a significant benefits.

Still taking Azathiroprine and Pentasa - the Pentasa enemas work well - joy!!

Check out VSL#3 probiotic. This 'came' out of the early studies in Italy doing fecal transplants for U.C. The probiotic was based on those studies and clinical tests show it it works well for a number of those with U.C.  A fair number of the papers on the studies can be found on www.medscape.com but you'll have to sign in to get to them I think. It's a good site with a lot of info on the IBD Resource Board, that they don't end up using your info (they never have mine, anyway) so it's a good place to check things out.
