I've been having diarrhea for almost a year now so recently I went to a GI doctor. Three weeks ago, I had a colonoscopy and they found ulcers. My doctor prescribed me Cipro 500mg for 7 days. While I was taking the medication my stool was normal. After a week when I was done with the medication my stool changed back and today I went back to the doctor for the results of the biopsies. He told me that the problem was the ulcers found at the end of the small intestines and believes that I might have Crohn disease. The report said terminal ileum - mild active chronic ileitis with granulomatous
inflammation. Now, I'm schedule for a endoscopy. Has anyone had the problem as I did? I asked the doctor if he ever had any cases like this and he says no. I asked if it was possible due to stress because it all started when my grandmother passed away and other issues in my life that got me stressed out and depressed. Thanks.
have the problem. This is not a disease that is caused by stress, but it can make the situation worse. If this is Crohn's, you may need to be placed on medication to try to keep the disease under control. Work with your doc to get a definitive diagnosis and if it is Crohn's learn as much as you can about his form of inflammatory
